Once I was in a coffee bar in London chatting with a friend of mine and she commented that her father was not a big fan of capoeira, I was intrigued and wanted to know why, how can you not like something that you don't even know? More than that she told me that her father thought that capoeira was connected with some kind of religious cult or something similar to that so I told her that I would write a song about it, because some times people say things about other people or about things that they don't even understand. For me capoeira is where I forget the bitter things of life, it is where I retrieve my greatest happiness, where I always feel an inner peace and greater joy in my life. Capoeira connects my body and soul, it is where I give myself the joy of every day, using capoeira as an instrument of peace and friendship, always looking to make it my tool to meet new friends.
